Warm up inside!

It's oh so cold outside. I took it upon myself to take the positives from the darker days that are now amongst us.

Instead of using the 'pit stop' as you pass 'With A Cherry On The Top'; why don't you ring your girlfriends up or bring your family and pop inside.

There's lots to discover. You can sit by the fireplace in the tearoom, have a friendly service wait on you. Order your latte and cupcake and enjoy your surroundings and company.

Because it's the warmer things in life that catch you at your best.

It's vast approaching!

That's right; London Fashion Week is back! How exciting, I know. But what's even more exciting is the fact With A Cherry On The Top has been asked to collaborate with designer Phiney Pet.

Phiney Pet's SS14 collection will be represented through cupcakes designed by yours truly. We all know I like to relate everything to fashion and here it's the world of cupcakes. After all, everything starts by what's in fashion. You wouldn't leave your house naked now would you?

The collection is called "Wear That Crown Upside Down!":

"The life of a teenage girl. Struggling to find her place in a group of friends"

"Each outfit celebrates a different role within young friendship groups, inspired by own teenage friends. There is the girly, sporty, collectomaniac, candy queen, still-into-toys and rebellious girls.

The collection is a message, particularly to girls, to enjoy your individuality, wear bright clothes and be happy."

What a lovely message, it's one I strongly agree with. It is so important to express yourself though your appearance, and to give off the right vibe. Your clothes can be like a smile, contagious and spreading a positive vibe.

I am always bright as I have my blue hair; and without making myself intimidating (I think I'm way too small to ever be called that), I appear approachable. I make friends wherever I go, and I make sure I have at least three conversations with new people every time I go out. Trust me, try it. You'll be surprised with how interesting everybody is.

Everybody is different and like Phiney Pet realises; everybody has their own story. So try your best to listen to them.

So for the cupcakes I decided I'm going to use the great and impacting use of layering.
So I made up some designs using images from Phiney Pet's website and Facebook to make collages to be the base of the design.

So the designs will print off (edible ink) onto sugar paper discs. Then to be placed delicately onto each cupcake.

And then different edible toys, designs, 3D pieces will be placed on top to create the layers.

I have chose the same colour palette as the collection, pastels mixed with hints of dark every now and then.

I'll keep you updated as they are to be baked freshly ready for Friday!

And remember, each person has a story, each outfit has a story and most importantly each cupcake has a story.

Nothing quite like fresh baking!

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the cupcake airstream.
Inspired by the unique stainless steel vehicles, our catering van is definitely 'out there'.
With such an unusual style to our branding; there was no way a square shaped burger van would have hit the spot.

We take our van to different local events just whilst we get our bearings. But our aim is to take over, at big arenas and different festivals.

So you're wondering how does the title of this post have any relevance with the context of this post. Here's how....
Scones.
Lovely, tasting, fresh out the oven scones.
I am absolutely in love with 'mumma's home made scones'. She makes them especially for the boot sale that we take our van to every Wednesday.
The feedback from the customers is great, so I'm not just being biased. I promise you I am not.
So here's what you need:
I have to apologise however; I am not going to tell you a step by step of how the magic happens as I'm sworn to secrecy.
But don't worry, I took a few photographs as she was baking without her knowing!

'Mum's' the word in this case.

And the finished product...

Add some jam and clotted cream and you're laughing. No other way to word it to be honest.
Oh how I do love my estuary English.

*prices for boot sale only*
So the question is; when do you get yours?

Ibiza Blues

So I know it may have been over a month now since myself, Stefi and Danielle have been back from Ibiza... but I feel I need to just share my views and my situation right now.
I'm blue.
Literally.
I'm blue and I'm blue for Ibiza.
I've been four times now and it will never get boring for me.
To just forget about your worries and enjoy the weather with your best friends is pure ecstasy.
See! As if you don't want to be here!
Jet pool everyday all day.

The best times to be had is the sober times, pre drinking before a night out.
Zoo Project on the Saturday is a recommendation.

Bora Bora on a Sunday

DC10 Monday.

And of course my favourite place Ushuaia.

And again ^

No holiday is complete without a 'selfie'.
I'm crazy in love with 90's grunge and Ibiza you can dress however you want, and for once I am not the weirdest person there.
See, even I every now and then; like to fit in.
Well fit in by fitting out.
That's the moto.

Love my moth's
xo.

Tasty Popcorn

So I got all excited when I found out a close friend of mine was pregnant. I was so inspired by the theme of popcorn that I took it upon myself to design and make a cake and cupcakes with the theme of 'she's ready to pop-corn'.
I made little logo templates to decorate the table and some balloons. Georgia really was ready to pop as we have welcomed little Harley into the world. He is the most handsome little man I have ever laid eyes on (excluding my boyfriend in case he reads this).
The blue obviously because Georgia was having a little boy. I used wire to show enthusiasm on the 'pop' and to add to the theme of popping and celebration.
The cupcakes matched with edible logo's on top, caramel and popcorn.

With matching popcorn bags as favours for the guests to take home.

After I uploaded these photographs onto the Facebook page
A friend of my sister's got in touch about the same theme but for engagement.
With matching popcorn bags too.

I wonder who's next to pop the question? If it's you, make sure you get your orders in now for your own personalised package.
